National HIV Testing Day – Free HIV Tests in NH

The Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) is collaborating with local testing sites to offer free HIV test across the state today. On the 30th anniversary of the HIV epidemic, granite staters can get tested without cost.

“It is estimated that 21% of the people infected with HIV in the United States don’t know it,” says Dr. José Montero, Director of Public Health at DHHS. “It is now recommended that everyone over the age of 13 be tested at least once as part of their routine health care.”
